Where are we going?

Wow what a year it’s been.

We launched the Western Boot Barn only 6 months ago and it feels like we have travelled a million miles already.

Our aim is to present the number one destination for boots in Australia and we believe we have moved some way toward achieving that goal. But we will not rest. There is always something we can do to improve and we have a whole lot of new developments lined up for 2013 to make the experience of visiting us all the more streamlined and enriching. You will find our range of boots will grow and new lines of related product introduced, all representing the very best in quality, style and value. Visiting our store will become a whole lot simpler from wherever you are. We will be introducing new ways for you to participate in Western Boot Barn activities and you will find us appearing at events around the country.

Crikey, I am supposed to be relaxing and on holiday but just can’t keep my mind off all these exciting new ideas we have in mind.

Wishing you a Happy New Year and hope to see you in 2013.

Sean

Taking stock

This has been one of my favourite weekends of the year, as we have just passed the Winter Solstice and the days now start to get longer so we can begin to look forward to Spring. It’s a good time to take stock and get ready for the warmer days ahead.

Having been in the shoe business, supplying retailers around Australia and New Zealand for more than 20 years, we knew change was afoot in terms of the growth of online shopping and the affect it would have on traditional retailers but we never envisaged the incredibly dramatic transformation that is now taking place.

We launched The Western Boot Barn just one month ago and the reaction has been amazing. Literally thousands of you have been visiting the site and buying boots, confirming the pent up demand for good quality western and biker boots being made available here in Australia at the best possible prices.

The Western Boot Barn Facebook page was launched with the idea of showing that we don’t only sell boots but have other interests just like you. This has also won many fans, confirming our belief that  there are many of you looking to share good stories and great music.

Now the challenge is to continue evolving and improving.

We have just introduced a fantastic new feature on the website called Find Your Boots. All you need to do, is enter your size and click ‘Find By Size’ to display all the styles we currently have available to fit you. How simple is that?

We will soon be shipping in more stock to fill the gaps in inventory and introduce more new styles. So you will have even more to choose from.

The Western Boot Barn website is there for you, so your suggestions are highly valued and always welcome. If there are some styles of boots you would like to see in the collection or if you see a way the site can be improved or if you have a story or photo you want to share, then please get in touch with us through the Contact section or on the Facebook page. Either way, we look forward to hearing from you.

There is a Time and a Place

Who are we and what are we planning?
My name is Sean and my partner is Karyne. We live in the Hunter Valley on a property just outside Wollombi, a magical place. It is really tranquil and only a couple of hours from central Sydney.

We got into the western and work boot business nearly 20 years ago when we started importing and wholesaling Durango and Georgia boots, since then we have worked with all the top brands out of USA and Europe, getting to know the business pretty well.

More recently, the growth of the internet has taken people like yourself online and looking to buy from whoever is offering the best range at the best price. This has hit local retailers hard and so many of them have been forced to drop out of boots and focus more on other lines which are easier for them to sell. This means the public is now finding it very difficult to buy the boots they want without having to shop overseas, which is OK except it means dealing with companies in other countries and distant time zones with very little hope of getting any help if you have a problem with the boots you buy. So this is where we step in.

The Western Boot Barn will be launching on the 1st April 2012. You will find the greatest selection of boots ever seen in Australia. All the top brands will be there, our prices will be directly competitive with those online stores in the USA after taking into account their delivery charges, we will be local and ready to talk to you any time, you will be able to return boots for exchange or refund – no questions asked.

So now is the time and this is the place. We look forward to being of service.
